Katarina Noen – International Enablement Leader
Katarina Noén
International Enablement Leader
As the Software Portfolio Enablement Leader for IBM Europe, I have 20 years of experience in enablement with the last 10 years in senior leadership roles. My experience is that when enablement is used as a vehicle for transformation solving key business issues, it is a genuine differentiator. I have developed and implemented this type of strategic enablement with proven results.
Impact for your business
As many industries have become commoditized, high performance organizations need to lead, sell and coach differently to drive results. A strategic Learning and Development capability can create tremendous synergy between what is learned in the ”classroom” and the business results achieved. When this happens, the Learning and Development function can pay its way through its own impact on profitability.
The key to success is close collaboration with business executives, facilitating and developing strategic thinking and execution capabilities throughout the organization. To me the learning strategy and events are critical “stepping stones” to get closer to end goals such as new hire time-to-value, acquisition integration, revenue generation, retention of high performers, or closing the gap on how to sell to C-level executives.
I believe I can add real value to any Learning and Development function in either of two ways: by building the kind of strategic enablement capability I have described here; or by enhancing what is already in place and dramatically improving the linkage to business impact.
If you have interest in pursuing these ideas, I would be delighted to talk with you or meet you in person.

Thank you Katarina for your passion, enthusiasm and ’can-do’ attitude in getting the enablement programme for us off the ground. I know there is still a lot to do in 2016 but I appreciate so much that you took the time and effort to get behind it and have your team support it as well. Angela Johansson,
SW Academy Consultant for IBM Systems Middleware in Europe
Katarina has an extraordinary combination of capabilities in developing and managing education. First, she has a very strong conceptual grasp of how to orchestrate individual courses, and entire programs, to meet developmental objectives. She is not a conventional thinker, but instead constantly innovates, converting her ideas into specific implemented programs.
At the same time, she is an extremely meticulous manager of complex projects and event streams, so that her ideas always find their way into well-managed implementation.
These two skill sets are difficult to find in one individual, and as is the case with Katarina, powerful when they are together.
David Robinson
Managing Director at SGA Inc.
I have worked with Katarina for five years both indirect and as a direct report. Katarina creates an environment in the team to achieve High Performance. She sets the bar high regarding her expectations and supports / coaches individuals to ensure the objectives are met or exceeded. Katarina thrives in delivering complex projects, networking and navigating multiple audiences to deliver on the strategic imperatives. Her style is very direct and constructive feedback is regularly given. Katarina’s biggest strength is in taking the strategic objectives of the business, defining and designing best in class enablement solutions and deliver to high standard – regularly exceeding business expectations. Katarina is focused, however is able to maintain her humor despite how ambiguous or demanding a situation is. She is a selfless leader and puts the team and business first at all times and is a great asset for the company.
